The world unexpectedly lost one of the best people on earth today! Greg was one of the greatest people any of us knew and there is an undeniable hole in everyone’s hearts that knew him. Greg spent countless hours coaching and mentoring hundreds of boys in baseball, football, basketball, and most importantly, coaching and mentoring them in life. He loved baseball and sports in general and passed that love and passion onto every boy that he came in contact with. The thousands and thousands of hours he spent were all in his own spare time (much to the dismay of Terri!). He taught our boys to be great players on the field, but more importantly better people off the field. He took them to feed the homeless many times and showed them what it was like to be a kind and loving person and to give back. Greg knew the game of baseball better than anyone and wasn’t afraid to let the umps understand his knowledge either! We can’t imagine baseball without Greg. We can’t imagine life without Greg and will always remember his kindness, generosity and fun personality. The boys will all miss his jokes, trips to Wendy’s, trips down South in the motorhome, visits to the homeless, pancake breakfasts, his missing fingers, arguments with the umps, and so many more crazy experiences. But in the end, they will miss the time and love he gave them. Love you Greg and life won’t be the same. Just as Greg helped so many of us, please consider helping Terri, Spencer, Zach and Mia at this time.
