Greg Dewey's Recovery from GBS

Donation protected
Dear family, friends, and generous supporters,

I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart but also with hope in my voice.

My Uncle Greg Dewey, a man of strength and courage, has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a rare but debilitating neurological disorder.

This news has turned our world upside down, but amidst the challenges, we're determined to rally around him and support him on his journey to recovery.

For those who may not be familiar, GBS is a condition where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its nerves, leading to weakness, numbness, and even paralysis. Greg has been confronted with the sudden onset of these symptoms, which has dramatically impacted his ability to move and function independently. As you can imagine, this has not only taken a toll on him physically but emotionally and financially as well.

While Greg is fighting with all his might, the road to recovery is a long and arduous one. He requires extensive medical care, including hospital stays, medications, and rehabilitation therapy. Additionally, the financial burden of these treatments is significant and adds an extra layer of stress during an already challenging time.

This is why we're turning to you for support. Your kindness, generosity, and solidarity can make an immense difference in Greg’s journey towards healing. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will directly alleviate the financial strain and allow him to focus on what truly matters – his recovery.

Here is what your donations will go towards:
1. Medical Expenses: Covering the costs of hospital stays, doctor consultations, medications, and specialized treatments tailored to his condition.
2.Rehabilitation Services: Enabling access to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other essential services crucial for Greg’s recovery and rehabilitation.
3. Mobility Aids and Adaptive Equipment: Providing necessary tools and devices to aid in his mobility and everyday activities, ensuring he can regain his independence.
4. Home Modifications: Adapting his living space to accommodate his needs and ensure a safe environment for his recovery journey.
5. Support for Daily Living: Assisting with daily living expenses, such as groceries, utility bills, and other essentials, to alleviate financial stress during this challenging time.

Your support means more than words can express. Please know that these donations will help Greg and his family with expenses acquired during his two month hospital stay as well as during his very long road to recovery. By standing together, we can provide Greg with the resources and encouragement he needs to overcome this obstacle and emerge stronger on the other side.

Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with your networks. Your kindness will be a beacon of hope for Greg and our entire family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, generosity, and unwavering support during this difficult time.
