Greg Campbell & family
Donation protected
Greg & Lori have been good friends of mine for 30+ years. This family means the world to me .
Some of you may or may not know Greg's story, so I have copied a few of Lori's Facebook post to give some details and updates.
If you could find it in your heart to help Greg & Lori out during this difficult time it would be greatly appreciated. But we are also asking that you lift this family up in your prayers.
We serve a BIG GOD!! We are gonna fight with Faith. We are hoping and praying for a miracle, cause I know the God I serve is able.
If you would like to donate but would rather not donate online, we also have an account set up at First Federal Community Bank in Paris.
This account is in Greg & Lori's name.
Just run by First Federal at any location and they will accept donations there as well.
Thank you for any and all donations.

It’s certainly been a whirlwind of a month. We went to the ER expecting to hear maybe complications from Greg’s recent gallbladder surgery only to find out he had cancer. Three weeks later after having several procedures and many dr visits, we’ve been told he has Stage 4 colon cancer and also in his lungs. We met with a doctor today who explained in detail of the medication and side effects of each one and what to expect. We were expecting to begin chemotherapy on Monday but it has not been approved my our insurance yet. She will call us to schedule as soon as she hears from them. Hopefully we will still begin on Monday.
I dreamed the other night that we were outside laughing and playing with the grandkids and woke up so relieved thinking this has all been a dream only to realize my dream was the actual dream. I’m ready to have my sweet, funny, witty husband back. I miss all the annoying things he used to do to drive me crazy. Our journey together isn’t over yet. We have grandbabies to watch grow up together and many more memories to make.
I thank you for all the kindness and support you have showed us and all the many prayers sent up on his behalf.
Thank you from the bottom of our hear
Update on March 5th
On Friday, I ran home at lunch and Greg was unable to walk or breathe very good. We took him to Quality Er. They gave him fluids and medication and said he was becoming septic and needed surgery. He was taken by ambulance to Plano where he needed immediate emergency surgery. His colon had ruptured and was leaking into his body and had to be taken out. 10pm-230ish he was in surgery. She was able to remove the entire tumor and also the diseased part of his colon. He is actually out of the major pain he was feeling from the huge tumor which is great but the downside is he is no longer strong enough to continue chemotherapy on the remaining cancer throughout his body. The doctor pretty much said there’s nothing much left they can do at this point. He’s been in ICU since Friday but today we should be moving to a room until he can get a little stronger. We refuse to go down without a fight. Our girls, grandkids and myself need him so much. We have a few alternative things we will be giving a shot. At this point what do we have to lose. I appreciate all of you who have reached out to us and those who have unselfishly helped in so many ways. We love you all.
Update: March 9th
Today has been the best by far in the 8 days we’ve been here. He’s felt better, pain is down and he was alert and smiling. Maybe it was seeing his baby girls. The nurse told me he hasn’t been smiling like that with me here every day. Looks like we may (MAY)be getting to come home Monday. We will coming home to hospice but we will be coming home. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank everyone who has stepped up and helped out so much. We love you all.
Thank you again.
