Hello All,
As a huge shock to us all, I am reaching out to you to let you know that Greg Antolini was diagnosed with throat cancer in May 2020. Although his prognosis is good and his spirits are high, he will be enduring a rough few months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Greg is a father, coach, husband, role model and respected member of Babylon Village and the lacrosse community. He has the kindest heart and as many of you already know, he has been through plenty of obstacles over the past few years. He is a fighter! He will get through this, but we will need some support and love from his friends and family. His first priority was always to take care of his family, and now they’re looking to take care of him. They are extremely hopeful and know he will be very strong through yet another hurdle in his life.
Due to COVID-19 and his treatments making him immunocompromised, he will not be able to return to work or coach lacrosse this summer. For the past 12+ summers he’s been coaching lacrosse as a second job and for those who have either had him as a coach or have seen him on the sidelines like we have, you would know that he would want nothing more than to be healthy and with his lacrosse family. While he will be out of work for an extended period of time, this will definitely put a financial burden on his family. We created this GoFundMe page to help pay for medical expenses as well as other expenses accrued due to this awful disease.
Multiple people have reached out to Greg and his family asking how to help, and it's very hard and humbling to have to ask for help, especially when times are as difficult as they are right now. If you feel led to give, we thank you so much. If you are supporting the Antolini family in thoughts and prayers, I’m sure they will be very appreciative!
