In loving memory of Greg Alfaro

Hi, my name is Carlos Hernandez Isava Jr. I am creating this fundraiser to raise money for Greg's funeral expenses. I had the pleasure of working with him at Blue Bottle when I was a barista and he was my supervisor back in 2019. Fast forward a few years and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to hire him at Coffee Bodega and work alongside him for nearly 3 months. Greg brought his positive energy to the coffee shop every day. He would brighten the day of everyone he interacted with and always left customers smiling. Greg would talk with anyone about anything. Ranging from sports to games or books, Greg was always available for a friendly conversation, especially if it involved wrestling or his favorite baseball team the Oakland A's, two of his biggest passions. I've been told by many customers that talking to Greg on their ten-minute breaks was one of the highlights of their day. When it got slow in the shop Greg and I would share our stories of traveling the U.S. I'm really going to miss our little conversations as we made people's drinks. He was truly a pleasure to work with and I am very lucky to have had him as a friend.

Greg had a big heart and would tell me how he and his brother took care of his mother through her continuous battle with cancer. He would call her every morning at 10 am making sure that her visit to the hospital went well or to check up on her. Now with his passing, my heart goes out to his brother as I can't imagine how much harder it will be to go through this without Greg's support.

I would like to ask that you help me raise money for Greg's family to ease the burden of the cost of his funeral. No matter how big or small your donation is I know it would be greatly appreciated as we want to give Greg the send-off he deserves.
