Beloved Teacher Needs Our Help
Donation protected

Two issues that seem to resonate the most within our daily lives are children, and the environment around us. As parents everywhere can understand, the decision over where to send our precious children for their first "school experience" is often nerve-wracking.
Luckily, we have been so fortunate to have a most wonderful preschool and early learning center right in our own community; The Little Green Tambourine, owned and run by Miss Suzanne! Many, many children have begun their educational and extracurricular experiences within this healthy creative living arts studio located in a beautiful, serene setting in Canton, CT.
We are in absolute shock that due to extreme personal hardships, our children's' beloved Miss Suzanne is closing The Little Green Tambourine permanently at the end of October.
Our children will be heartbroken to no longer have their special "messy cooking" classes, fun open play sessions and preschool enrichment in a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment. While we are appealing to the community near and far to help get Suzanne into a position of keeping the studio school open, or perhaps re-open in the near future, we are most interested in assisting such a kindhearted, compassionate person at a time of need for her and her own children.
Miss Suzanne and her family have put everything into creating and maintaining this amazing preschool and community resource and unfortunately the exorbitant costs of running a small business in Connecticut has taken a significant financial toll on the family. I think we can all agree that anyone of us could find ourselves in the position she is in, or know someone who has faced such extreme adversity.
We never appeal or reach out to our friends and community for any type of donation but this situation has left us so upset. Here is a good, kind person with years of experience in helping many of our children learn to love school and instill in them a drive to ask questions and engage in the world around them, and she needs our help for very basic needs.
We created this site to help on her behalf because she would never ask herself, and we truly believe if we all forego a latte or two and chip in, perhaps our community will not have to endure the loss of such a magical place for our young children, and more important, someone so important to many of our children, may get back on her feet very soon!
Thank you so much for any help!
