Greenland Climate Expedition: Support Our Research

Donation protected
I am leading a NASA-affiliated expedition to Greenland, focused on extreme exploration and climate research. Our team, which includes students and postdocs, studies the impact of a warming ocean on Greenland's glaciers—specifically, how warm water melts the ice from below and destabilizes the glacier, contributing to sea level rise. This mission is exciting because we will be exploring the ice cavity using an ocean robot, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in polar research.

To make this expedition a success, we need additional support to cover essential equipment for our team, including camping and mountaineering equipment, and specialized camera and light source for documenting our borehole drilling in the ice. These resources are crucial for both the safety of our team and for sharing our discoveries with the world. By capturing the journey and the science, we hope to connect our audience with the realities of climate change and the importance of polar research.

Your support will directly help students and early-career scientists participate in this groundbreaking work and will allow us to bring back stories and data that can inspire action. Every contribution brings us closer to understanding and addressing the urgent challenges facing our planet. Thank you for helping us make this mission possible!
