Greenham Bushfire Recovery Campaign

The late 2019 and 2020 fire season in Victoria and NSW has seen more than 10 million hectares burned, 28 people killed and more than 2,000 homes and structures destroyed. In addition, tens of thousands of livestock have perished. Many rural communities were already suffering through one of the worst droughts in living memory and now, when it couldn't get any worse, fires have smashed through entire towns and farms, destroying crucial infrastructure, pasture and fodder supplies.


Greenham is a sixth generation, Australian owned processing business selling beef to domestic and international markets. The company acknowledges that beef and dairy producers need to be supported during this challenging time.

The toughest days are now ahead. Farmers need our support over the coming weeks, months and years as they rebuild their farms and communities.

There have been heartbreaking stories from the producers we work closely with across our regions. Some have lost it all – their homes, farms, stock - their livelihoods.



We have observed the incredible response from both Australian and international donors in the last few weeks and identified some key areas for livestock producers that need addressing. Whilst the aftermath cannot be fixed overnight, we are raising funds to support short and long term projects in assisting producers with the rebuilding process.

The recovery campaign has a target of $500,000 with Greenham donating $50,000 to the fundraising effort and a further $200,000 direct.

For example:
                                 $350 = 250L water trough
                                 $1,000 = 5,000 trees in tubes
                                 $1,500 = 10 large bales of hay
                                 $5,000 = 1km of fencing.

Money raised will be provided to 'The Victorian Farmers Federation Disaster Relief Fund'. The funds will be dispersed to fire-affected farmers to assist with infrastructure and on-going farm business support.
