Greenfield Village Field Trip-Buses Needed!
Escuela Avancemos! Academy is a Title I school which means our students qualify for free lunch and breakfast and most live below the poverty line.
We would like to provide our students with the unique experience of visiting Greenfield Village this June!
In the past, the school has been able to cover the cost of the buses, but this year, they weren't able to. We need $1,040 to pay for 4 buses so that our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders can enjoy an inspiring day learning about history.
The majority of our students are also English Language Learners. Giving them opportunities to see and interact with historical artifacts and presenters/historians helps to provide them with the language and background knowledge they need to be successful in learning Social Studies.
Please give! Our students work incredibly hard and we want to continue to support and challenge them by providing them with the best learning opportunities!
