Green Up The Planet School Packets

Schools never have enough money for supplies and the COVID-19 pandemic is about to shrink budgets even more for the next school year.  Green Up The Planet is a nonprofit organization providing underfunded elementary schools in urban locations with free innovative tools for teaching students about the environment. Individual students receive a gift box that includes an age-appropriate book about nature and plants, stickers, a packet of seeds, a small plant, and a Green Up The Planet t-shirt to encourage conversations about the environment within their homes and communities. 

Our goal is to send 30 gift boxes to a class studying ecology and the environment to five schools.  We have vendors donating some of the supplies while others are offering below wholesale pricing for their materials.  The cost of each kit is approximately $31.25.   Each kit includes an age appropriate book, a packet of seeds, a potted plant, stickers, and a T-shirt.  Our organization is covering the costs of labor, the physical gift box, any credit card processing fees, stickers, shipping, and additional materials for the teacher.
