Green screen production: Secrets of the temple

This piece of work will be used to propel us into our collective dream of working in the visual effects industry. The 8 of us working on this project, form the entire final year Visual Effects course, a small but hard-working group. We have a big scale idea, that you can be apart of.

We plan on creating a short film shot entirely on a green screen, therefore only the main character will be real, the rest of the frame will be digital. It is a big scale concept, one which could be seen in a multi-million-pound production, but we only need a fraction of that.

Time is short we only have two months from concept to finished piece. Although the movie will be under 3 minutes, we have around 5000 frames that will need to be rendered. At a high quality, one frame could take upwards of 1 hour with the machines available to us. However, with this money we will use a render farm to get our production made on time and to a high quality. In addition, the budget will allow us to submit the piece, to a wide range of festivals, which will spread our names within the film industry.
