The Green family could use your help! The recent flooding in Cross Plains destroyed their home. It took some time before they were even able to get into their home to assess the damage and start repairing. Leaving their home and all their belongings to sit in the mess that the flood had created. At this point they are waiting to hear if it's even salvageable. With a family of 7 and 3 dogs it won't be easy getting through the next several months as they try to reconstruct their home.
Their home was in one of a couple of the worst spots in Cross Plains, If not the worst, for the flood. What acted like a raging river down their street swept their camper away (which then ran into a car and a stop sign). The water pounded so hard against their home a basement window broke which caused even more water to break through(among other things...). The water easily, at one point, filled their basement to the top.
Fortunately the family themselves are all save and were evacuated by the fire department(THANKS TO THEM!!!)
As a family friend of the Green's it's rare that I go anywhere where someone doesn't know who the Green's are. They are loved in the community and do whatever they can to help others. I'm always so amazed by their generosity.
Please donate to help get them some sense of normalcy sooner than later and show them that their love and generosity has not gone unnoticed! Funds raised will be spent on fixing or rebuilding their home.
*Also please note that the goal is just a random goal at this time as they have not had a chance to declare whether or not they will be even able to move back into their home or if they will need to rebuild. Given that they do not live in a "Flood Zone" they do not have flood insurance and therefore nothing will be covered by their insurance so ANY and ALL help is beyond greatly appreciated.
