With the closing of all non essential businesses today was the day we closed green dog-our beloved dog daycare and boarding facility located in Chicago, Illinois. The amazing staff we employ have kids, have dogs and many bills to pay. With the closure of the business until 4/7 and the hope to reopen it’s been a pretty overwhelming day as I’m sure it has been for each and everyone out there. The hardest part was sending the staff home today, worried about their financial and medical wellbeing. We work paycheck to paycheck because we love what we do! If you can’t donate that’s totally cool-I know in these times everyone is under duress. You could always share it’s a button click away! I’m hoping as the manager of green dog I can assist in sending these funds to the staff to help them pay for bills etc while Green Dog remains closed. All donations will be dispersed among the staff and will be sent to each staff member via bank transfers-safely and securely.
