Greece Wildfire Relief
Donation protected
As we did in 2018 and 2021 (see information below), we now raise also for the 20233 Wildfires in Greece. Let's help support those impacted by the severe wildfires.
All the donations will be transferred to Desmos Non Profit Foundation , based in Athens, in order to support people who have been affected by the wildfires.
Those needs include food, clothes, medicines, personal hygiene etc. More updates will follow regarding the needs.

International non profit organisation, based in London and operating in 16 countries (one of them is Greece), which uses the unifying power of sport to celebrate diversity, promote equality, cross-cultural collaboration and youth development.
We work very closely with Desmos Non Profit Foundation for the past 3 years.

How the funds will be spent:
Desmos is in constant communication with public and other organizations, so that we can provide timely information on the needs of those affected by the fires, as these needs might change on a daily basis.
All news concerning the collection of goods, as well as other related Desmos actions, will be posted directly to our facebook page.

Funds Withdrawal:
The donations will be received by Eleven Campaign, in a UK Natwest Bank Account and they will be transferred to Desmos' bank account in Greece. This will happen at the end of the crowdfunding campaign.
All donors will be informed with an email regarding that process.

Tuesday 30/10/2018:
We were present at Mati and Neos Voutzas since day one. Thanks to the swift and touching reactions from individuals, companies and institutions, a significant amount has accumulated for our project in the region. The extremely generous offers we received will go towards the design, reconstruction and renovation of four playgrounds and three adjoining basketball courts in Mati and Neos Voutzas. With this project, we aim to revive these public spaces in which family, neighborhood and community ties are being cultivated, and to inspire an optimistic narrative, contributing to the healing of the wounds of this grave disaster.
Thursday 20/09/2018:
Desmos has maintained a constant presence in the areas of Mati and Marathonas since day 1.
We participate in coordinating networks and groups with NGOs and municipalities for the fulfillment of short term needs.
We’re looking towards the future, so the afflicted areas can again become places of joy, play and laughter.
Our first long term project will be announced soon.
