Noah’s medical expenses

Donation protected
On January 11 2019 we welcomed our beautiful son Noah into this world.  He was an impatient little man and decided to make his arrival 7 1/2 weeks early!! In spite of his prematurity, Noah appeared to be completely healthy and strong! Billy and I fell in love with him immediately, we absolutely adore our ridiculously tiny guy

After a 19 day stay in the NICU at Wilson Hospital, Noah finally joined his family at home, weighing in at a whopping 4lbs! We were all so thrilled to finally have him where he belongs. Things seemed almost perfect.  After having to leave your baby at the hospital every day, the whole getting up at night thing becomes a joy.  I’m happily exhausted lol!

When I took Noah for his 2 month well baby check up, the doctor noticed a problem.  After a few minutes of poking and prodding my sweet boy, the doctor announced that Noah has Testicular Hernias, and an Umbilical Hernia.  Unfortunately, we didn’t escape his prematurity unscathed, his abdominal wall didn’t finish developing properly.  “He need surgery” let me tell ya, those are some seriously scary words...

I scheduled an appointment with a pediatric surgeon in Syracuse, and we began the wait... Two days later I went to change his diaper and his testicles were swollen, hard, and blue. We rushed to the ER and were sent by ambulance to Syracuse’s pediatric ER. The surgeon came to see him in the ER and decided to skip the pre op appointment and go straight to scheduling the surgery ASAP, Noah’s bowel was slipping out of the hernia and into his scrotum... this is scary stuff...

Noahs surgery is scheduled for tomorrow,  March 29, in Syracuse. He will be admitted for at least a few days afterward. To say I’m terrified is an understatement, I’ve never had one of my children go under general anesthesia before. The idea of putting my 7lb babies life into someone else’s hands is truly unsettling.

Noah does have health insurance, but it doesn’t cover everything. The ambulance ride is on us, traveling back and forth constantly for the next few months is on us. With a budget that’s already stretched to its limits, this could really break us.  That’s why I’m asking for your help. Normally I would never ask, but there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to ensure my child’s wellbeing.  Thank you for reading our long story, even if you can’t contribute financially... please pray for our beautiful baby boy!!! All of your prayers worked before ( I could literally feel them when I was in labor) so, please  send us those prayers again he needs them
