Great Scott!

For those who don't already know, Scott Guth has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Scott is 31 years old and has been married to his amazing wife, Steph, for just over a year.
Scott was the best man at our wedding and has been a friend to my husband, Jared, since they were kids. Scott is a guy you cannot help but love - he is kind, generous, hilariously funny, and refreshingly honest. He and his wife, Steph, are perfectly suited to one another and make each other stronger and better every day. If you know them, you love them. They will need each other, and us, as they face the fight of their lives.
Regarding Scotts condition, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. There are a few things we know:
Scott has already begun chemotherapy, and will be in the hospital for at least a month receiving chemo infusions every day. The doctors are running more tests to get more specific information about Scott's condition and the best course of treatment. We know that the treatment (chemo and other drugs) for ALL will take place over several years. We do not know yet whether Scott will need a bone marrow transplant.
Even with health insurance, this battle is going to be expensive. Scott will not be able to work for at least six months, and its likely that he will need to take time off in the future. Steph will need to take time away from work and her business to be with Scott as he undergoes treatment. And there will be medical bills and many incidental expenses, even with insurance.
It feels like there is so little that we can do to make this easier on Scott and Steph. Please consider donating to help ease the financial burden so that Scott can focus on kicking cancer's ass!
