Hi everyone, I’m Naisha and my husband’s name is Eric. We are the proud owners of Greater Horizons Academy of Excellence. We’re a private school here to inspire learning and support to some of the most vulnerable individuals, children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I’m a board certified behavior analyst and having worked in the applied behavior analysis field for over 6 six years I realized the great need for services in our local community. At our school, we will be implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) evidence-based practices throughout our educational platform, where we are able to work on socially significant goals and skills. We are here to help students overcome learning difficulties, increase and strengthen fundamental skills, and to provide them with the tools and guidance they need, every single day; while showing and teaching them about the love of Jesus.
What started off as a simple conversation one morning over breakfast with my husband, about what God had placed in my heart, has quickly developed into the reality of our dreams today. Through prayer and fasting we’ve discovered what our purpose is in this little thing we call life. We are passionate about serving God and others; striving to make a difference in their lives. Together as a family and with the help of our God we will begin serving our local community the best we can.
How amazing would it be to start off our business with little to no debt?! This is why we’ve decided to start a 100 day GoFundMe campaign of $60,000! We need the help from our community, family, and friends to raise the money for our school! With plans to open our doors, for this upcoming 2021/2022 school year, there is still a lot that needs to be done from now until August! We recently signed a lease to a unit, but it needs several improvements. We are having a build out done which will include additional classrooms, new doors (including a security door), new flooring, lighting, fire sprinklers, ceiling tiles, interior painting, outdoor signage, furniture, equipment, electronic devices, and curriculum.
God has been our resource and will continue to be until the end, so we know we will do this! We want to thank YOU from the bottom on our hearts for your generosity and support! We love you and may God bless you in abundance!
