Greater Good Epic Paddle
Donation protected
This year marks ten years since my first skirmish with cancer, so what better way to mark it than by doing an epic journey doing my favourite thing, stand-up paddleboarding?
In June 2022 I will be paddling 254 miles from Wigan to Brentford, London via the canal network. It's an epic paddle from Greater Manchester to Greater London for several good causes. My journey will be two-weeks long with 180 locks plus several tunnels to navigate, paddling a gruelling 15-20 miles in 6-8 hours per day.
I fell in love with SUP after losing my Mum, along with many others, during the pandemic and finding myself struggling with my mental health. I’ve met many friends and seen some amazing things on our gorgeous rivers, which is why I love it so much.
The money raised will be split evenly between three worthwhile charities which have helped me personally:
- Cancer Research UK (I was part of one of their clinical trials)
- Macmillan (Brilliant support when I was not well)
- Burney Breast Unit St Helens (still looking after me!)
Any donation, no matter how small, would be very much appreciated.
