Over the last couple of years, we've been lucky enough to foster some amazing dogs through Hairy Hounz, a small Southampton-based dog rescue charity. They do incredible work with limited resources – giving abandoned dogs a second chance in safe, loving homes.

But rescue isn’t cheap. It typically costs over £400 to bring just one dog into care – covering vet checks, vaccinations, neutering, food, and transport. With over 40,000 dogs abandoned in the UK every year, the scale of the problem is huge, and small rescues like Hairy Hounz can only make a small dent without support.

So, I'm aiming to raise £300 to help them keep doing what they do best: saving dogs who’ve been let down, and finding them the homes they deserve.

If you can spare anything, it’ll go directly to the dogs – no big offices or admin budgets here. Just passionate people trying to do the right thing.
