Hello everybody and thank your for visiting our fundraising page we have made in honour our incredible friend, Andrew Stoner.

2024 marks 5 years since Andrew passed away and myself, his friends and family would be so proud to honour him by running the Great North Run in support of Teenage Cancer Trust, Brain Tumour Research and St Elizabeth’s Hospice.
Andrew was a truly inspiring and kind friend, brother, son and partner, he brought so much light to the lives of everyone who knew him.

Our memories of him and his unwavering emotional resilience and strength throughout his illness still fill us all with so much pride.
Andrew was diagnosed with a brain tumour in his first year of medical school in Leeds, he took a break from his studies during his initial treatment and then chose to return and continue with medical school through his illness. He sadly passed away in peace 5 years ago surrounded by his family.

The Teenage Cancer Trust team at Weston Park supported Andrew, myself and his family in countless way over the course of his illness, from helping co-ordinate financial support and hospital appointments to giving warm smile and a hug on those really difficult days, we are forever grateful for everything they did.

St. Elizabeth’s Hospice, Ipswich -

St. Elizabeth’s hospice is where Andrew spent the last weeks of his life. I will never forget the kindness, generosity and love from all the staff who worked there who supported us in every way during the hardest of days.

Brain Tumour Research -

The ongoing research into finding treatments for this devastating illness is essential so we would also like to support the work done at Brain Tumour Research. We hope that one day their research will stop anyone else losing their life to this devastating illness.

This year, we are raising money by taking part in the Great North Run on 8th September, in the city that Andrew had wanted to make his home, in memory of our wonderful friend.

We would be very grateful for anything you can donate to support these 3 wonderful charities.
Most importantly, I would like to ask you take a moment this year to remember and honour Andrew, even if it is just listening to a song that Andrew would love.
