Great North Run for the Friends of Alfie Martin
Donation protected
In September I will be running the Great North Run to raise money for the Friends of Alfie Martin; a Leeds based charity which raises funds for life saving neonatal equipment.
Friends of Alfie Martin was formed after Fiona & Roger Martin lost their son Alfie born full term, but due to medical negligence needing specialist transportation to Leeds teaching hospital for critical care. No transportation was available and Alfie sadly died. Friends of Alfie Martin now raises funds to provide life saving equipment for Yorkshires sickest babies. Friends of Alfie Martin is the biggest single contributor to the Leeds Centre for Newborn Care, and does outstanding work to provide this equipment to the Leeds Centre.
My dad, David Knaggs, together with his close friend Richard Larking, are taking place in the Worlds Toughest Row - Atlantic 2025. This involves rowing 3000 miles from La Gomera , Canary Islands , to Antigua & Barbuda’s English Harbour. Their team is “GREENS2BLUE” and both have nominated a charity to support as part of their fundraising. My dad has nominated the Friends of Alfie Martin, and Fiona Martin has kindly agreed for me to raise funds that will form part of GREENS2BLUE fundraising- check out their website;

All funds raised will form part of greens2blue fundraising campaign and I am extremely proud to be running the Great North Run for this cause.
