Great North Run - Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity

Hi everyone!

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve successfully completed the Great North Run, a challenging 13.1-mile half marathon! During the race, I was incredibly inspired by the other runners raising funds for various charities and made me reflect on the incredible work happening right where I work - at Birmingham Children’s Hospital - and how much more I wanted to contribute.

As a 5th year medical student, and a medical assistant at Birmingham Children's Hospital Emergency Department, I see first-hand the incredible impact this hospital has on the lives of children and their families. From life-saving surgeries to emotional support at the toughest times, the care provided by all the staff is remarkable.

By donating, you will be helping to fund more equipment, different treatments and improved access to specialist services. Every donation matters and will support the care of these brave children and their families going through the toughest times.

I may have finished the race with a 01:39:34 personal best, but the journey to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital with the best care for every child continues. Please join me in making a difference and donate today!
