Great Limerick Run in Memory of Tom Moore

Hello and thanks for taking the time to look at our fundraiser. My name is Ruairi (Rory) Moore. My father, Tom Moore, passed away in April of 2019 from bone cancer.
Dad was an advocate and supporter of Milford Cancer Hospice in Limerick. He freely gave a lot of time and energy in Milford helping terminally ill patients in their final weeks and days. He was a well known character there, as was his therapy dog Jesse. It is for this reason that we have chosen Milford Hospice as the beneficiary of this fundraiser. In Dad's last days he received wonderful care from all the staff and they work on a very tight budget.
We are training for the 'Great Limerick Run ' on the 3rd of May 2020. My brother Thomas and my cousin Roisin (Tom's niece), will run the race together with me. For those of you that don't know me, I am a 41 year old guy that has not trained in almost 20 years, and I started my gym regime the first week of January. So this is going to take a fair bit of dedication, endurance and stamina for me.
We have chosen this platform to fundraise as my siblings and I all live outside of Ireland (US, UK and Sweden) and intend to raise funds across several different countries as well as Ireland. Please give as much as you can, it is for a very good cause and in memory of our very kind and much loved father and uncle.
All proceeds raised will go to Milford and help them to continue to give amazing care to those that really need it.
The funding is being raised in Swedish Crowns (sek) as I live in Sweden and GoFundMe will not allow me to use Euros. €1 = 10sek so e.g. a €10 donation is approx 100 sek.
