Hi, my name is Jake, and I’m asking for help for my dog, Zee.
Zee is my Great Dane and truly my best friend. Recently, I found a mass on his arm that needed immediate attention. I did everything I could to get him the care he needed, and he underwent surgery to have the mass removed. Thankfully, he made it through the surgery and is already showing signs of being himself again—he’s eating, walking, and his personality is coming back.
However, we just received the biopsy results, and the news has been really hard. The mass was a high-grade soft tissue sarcoma (grade 3), which is an aggressive form of cancer. While the surgery removed the main tumor, the report shows that cancer cells likely remain, and there is a high risk of it coming back.
My vet has strongly recommended radiation therapy as the next step. This treatment could help destroy the remaining cancer cells and significantly improve Zee’s chances of staying healthy and preventing the tumor from returning.
The problem is the cost.
Between the emergency surgery and follow-up care, I am already facing around $8,000 in veterinary bills. Radiation therapy will cost thousands more—an amount I simply cannot afford on my own right now.
This has been overwhelming. Zee means everything to me, and I’ve done everything in my power to get him this far. Now I’m asking for help to give him the best chance possible moving forward.
Any donation—no matter how small—would go directly toward:
• Paying off Zee’s surgery expenses
• Covering radiation therapy treatments
• Ongoing care and monitoring
If you’re not able to donate, sharing this would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read Zee’s story and for any support you can give. It truly means more than I can put into words.
