In early August I adopted a Great Dane, he was my 8th. For years I have supported rescues and have adopted several Great Danes. Unfortunately this male had an aggressive personality that I was not made aware of. On August 20, 2023 he attacked me and detached my scalp, ears, and forehead. I spent several days in ICU, underwent surgery after surgery and still have more. My medical bills are more than I can afford and the rescue didn’t have an active insurance policy. I’m hopeful that laws may change in the future but for now, I need help getting through this difficult time. I’m happy to share my story and additional photos.
