Dear friends and family
It is with a heavy heart that I am making this page. As we all know, the restaurant industry has taken a huge hit in the past few days with mandatory closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As much as we love our community and love providing excellent service daily, most of our staff won’t be able to continue working. This is to protect our staff, and all those that love Grease & Honey. These mandated closures are financially devastating for the hourly employees of Grease & Honey, and for the community that calls Grease & Honey a second home. Most of our dedicated team does not have any other means of income and are not only losing their ability to participate in their professions, but the financial support their hard work and dedication has given them.
I am creating this page to help the entire staff including dishwashers, cooks, bussers, baristas and all those who put their hearts and souls into Grease & Honey. We wouldn’t have what we have without each and every member of our team. I am hoping with the love and continuous support of this wonderful community that we can provide some relief for the friendly faces at Sazzy B, The Buzz Cafe and The Garage.
With that being said it is with a humble heart that I am asking for help on behalf of the Grease & Honey family. We are community, a family, and we will get through all of this together and stronger than ever. As an employee of Grease & Honey, I cannot express enough how much I love this team and the sense of community it has continuously offered to all who have walked through the doors of each building. Thank you for taking a moment to read the realistic narrative of what it means to work in the service community and how much everyone means to us. We all look forward to the day we can work together again and share our love of the community through food, drink, laughs, and all that communal spaces do for us. Be well.
