Grayson's going to the Junior Luge World Cup
Donation protected
Hi, its Grayson Laugher, and I’m proud to say I once again have the opportunity to represent Australia in the Junior Luge World Cup.
Last year I came 24th in Youth A Luge World Cup in my first international season; I had 3 World Cup finishes; 14th, 17th and 12th. Here is a link to run 1 of Youth A World Cup Race 6 in Bludenz, Austria.
Then I qualified for the Junior World Championships with less than a week's training from the race start at Winterberg, Germany. I was on track to put in a personal best time, but turn 13 reared its head: I crashed at the final corner. There was not much I could do at that point as the track climbs steeply uphill to the finish. Here is a link to the run
This year I'm a Junior, and things are getting serious; it is the run-up to the "quad,"!! The first of four years ending with the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina, Italy. My mission this year is to do an entire Junior season and go to the World Championships in Bludenz, Austria. This is a special track for me as it is the first European track I trained on. Each step I take from here carries me closer to representing Australia at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina, Italy.
Between the FIL, the Australian Team, my parents, and my dog walking business, I have much of my equipment, travel, race fees, some accommodation and some training costs covered, but I still have a lot of expenses left to cover:
Training: $4,800 for training runs.
Accommodations: $3,900 for lodging during training
Meals: $1,300 during training
Any donation you could make to help me get there would be greatly appreciated. I also hope that you will follow me on my journey on Instagram at Grayson_Laugher_Luge
Thank you so much,
Grayson
