Grayson's College Fund in Memory of David Cowgill

David Edward Cowgill, 54, of Atlantic Beach, FL, passed away March 22, 2021, with his loving wife, Patti, by his side. He was born November 28, 1966, in Alton, IL. David attended Alton Elementary School before moving to Mt. Juliet, TN, where he attended Mt. Juliet High School and Memphis State University.
David met his wife Patti in 2002 through a mutual friend. His love for Patti grew as did his love for her son Grayson. David and Patti married in 2007. David raised Grayson as if he were his own.
One of his greatest accomplishments was being Grayson’s dad. David and Grayson loved to spend time together. They enjoyed watching movies together, going to the gun range, and David was especially proud of being an Ole Miss dad.
Grayson earned a wonderful scholarship from Ole Miss but has still needed to take out a loan for each semester of school to cover additional expenses. David was unable to work for the last 8 months. Throughout his illness, David's biggest concern was that Grayson not have to worry about school.
His family would like to request donations to offset Grayson's college expenses in lieu of flowers. Any donations made will be used specifically for college expenses not covered by his scholarship.
