I’ve begun this Go Fund Me on behalf of my daughter, Grayson. On Sunday afternoon, Feb 5, 2023, a fire broke out in her kitchen. She was 10 minutes from home at the time, and against the Fire Dept’s urging, ran into the house anyway to rescue her two puppies who were home alone. Grayson has asthma, and she & the pups were treated by EMS at the scene. The puppies are “her children” and thankfully checked out okay at her vet yesterday. Unfortunately, however, her house is not.

The damage to Grayson’s home is greater than we imagined. She initially thought it was confined to the kitchen, but upon walking through with her insurance representative yesterday, it was clear the upstairs guest room sustained extensive damage as well, including a ceiling fan that melted. This room also doubles as her home office, and since Covid, my daughter has worked from home (pharmaceutical trials). She additionally had an Etsy sticker side business which she’d worked on diligently the last several months.

The kitchen/dining room will be a total loss, as well as much of the house’s wiring & electronics, including the upstairs bedroom/office. In the meantime, Grayson, her partner Ellis, and their 2 puppies (Daisy & Brodie) have been displaced and are residing with family. It will be weeks before they’ll be able to return.

We’re all humble people & find it awkward asking for help, but because this was an unplanned emergency, there are so many things she needs so she can at least return to work & resume her Etsy business.
