Hey everyone, Grayson was recently diagnosed with plagiocephaly, also known as "flat head syndrome". In his case, his left ear is more forward than his right, his head is not leveled correctly, leaving his head leaning to the left, and one eye is now slightly smaller than the other. After two weeks of fighting with the insurance company, they denied his claim for a Doc Band (a helmet needed to correct his issues). They have told us plagiocephaly is a "cosmetic" issue that isn't hurting his health. Our little family is now left with trying to cover a $2,500 bill for the helmet, weeks of therapy to assist with neck stiffness, and a new wardrobe he'll need to wear to prevent overheating wearing his Doc Band 23 hours a day.
