My nephew's mother is in dire need of help. She has Mals (Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome) that supplies blood to the stomach, liver and other organs and She has nutcracker syndrome-compression of renal vein. Her Mals is 90% blocked and she needs a stent. She is seeing an auto-transplant Dr. to remove the Kidney and starting the live donor process and screening. She is malnourished and has lost over 50 lbs since last fall. Doctors are now requesting that she get get a feeding tube into her nose . She has 3 kids, 7,10, & 16. She now has reduced short term disability which she has gone thru the run around for months now and is coming to an end. She wants to work but can't due to extreme pain, nausea, vomiting, malnourished causing extreme tiredness, confusion and memory loss. She has had open Surgery to try to release ligaments and open her Celiac Artery and had her Left Renal Vein Replaced with one from her leg. Both Surgeries failed and she had a blood clot build up in her Left Renal Vein and her Artery close /stenosis so they did a second surgery to try to pull some of the blood clot out for the Nutcracker Syndrome and tried to blow open the Artery for Mals with a Balloon. This failed too and now she is scheduled for surgery to get a stent placed in the Celiac Artery and waiting for a date to get a nephrectomy ( removal of kidney). She is so kind hearted and always trying to help others even when she is in need and that is why she is still trying to donate her kidney to someone in need instead of just having it removed if eligible. She also has Hasimoto's disease with her thyroid and Fibromyalgia. She is the only person in her family that has ever bought a house last year and now stands to lose it and her car due to this overwhelming medical problem. She has always been strong, a hard worker and she served in the army reserves. She doesn't want to cry as she says she has to show her kids not to worry. She doesn't like to ask for help either. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount even a dollar can go a long way in these circumstances or please continue to share.
