Grave Marker for Patricia Ann Tucker

Tax deductible
In November 1978, a woman’s remains were found near Amherst Road in Granby, Massachusetts. Local law enforcement searched missing person reports to try to identify the woman but could not find a match. She was buried with a grave marker that simply said “Unknown.”

Last year, Massachusetts State Police and the Northwestern District Attorney’s office contacted Othram Labs, a private company that specializes in genetic genealogy. With the help of Othram’s advanced DNA testing, police were able to track down a relative of the unidentified woman.

After nearly 45 years, the unknown “Granby Girl” was identified as Patricia Ann Tucker. Patricia was a 27-year-old mother of two when her family last saw her in 1978.

Now that Patricia has been given her name back, her family wants to give her a new headstone. We’re raising funds to cover the cost. Your donations will be received by Private Investigations for the Missing, a nonprofit organization that will work with the family to replace the grave marker.

Thank you for your generous support!
