Grave For Denise Goodhart
Donation protected
In July of 2021, I had not heard from Denise Goodhart, a childhood friend, for about a week or more. I went to her apartment with the police to do a wellness check and we discovered her deceased.
She passed away from a Fentanyl overdose at the age of 51. But she was already very sick by that time. She used drugs and alcohol to numb the pain from past traumas and this struggle plagued her for her entire life and it had really taken its toll on her health.
I never knew Denise to do anything where she shouldn't have been forgiven. She was an insanely, faithful Christian. She read her bible daily and giving her anything less than a proper burial is unacceptable to me. She needs a place with her name on it on hallowed ground. It would mean so much to her.
Many of my friends from Naperville and SIU knew Denise and loved her. She had a great sense of humor and was a very caring soul. To have her remains discarded in a name-less tomb, filled with homeless strangers and people that had nobody just doesn't seem right. She HAD people who loved her and cared a great deal for her.
A few of her friends and myself were able to get her cremains. They are currently in a nice custom Urn I purchased.
I have been looking at options for entombing her remains and I am flabbergasted at the costs! In a nutshell this is going to cost me around $3000 to $4000. I am more than willing to pay that amount. But I know several people who have also asked to chip in. So, to help me recoup some of the costs and to get her the best grave possible, I am asking for people to pitch in and hopefully we can give her the best possible grave we can.
Please donate if you are able to. Every little bit helps. Thanks so much for reading this message.
