If you saw my recent social media post you saw a very happy Marcelo with his new buddy, Dunner, a 6ish year old German shepherd. Dunner was found tied to a fence, emaciated, and many physical ailments including tumors, heartworm and more. An incredible medical foster took him in and over 7 or so months of constantly battling to save his life, she spent about $1500 of her own money. She gave Dunner to us, no fees, just a grateful heart that we gave him a chance. But I’d love to help her out since she gave Marcelo his new bff. I envision a “love offering,” if you will, for his foster. She told me she wanted nothing and to donate it to Wilson Zoo Cat Rescue. Of which she’s now fostering 2 cats for them as they need tube feeding and a watchful eye. Those cats have racked up over $1000 bill at Wilson Zoo’s vet! I know the foster is kicking in lots of her own tlc purchases to help the cats too and she’ll expect nothing in return. She doesn’t have a social media following like I do but I’m just so thankful for all she’s doing for pets in need and again for saving Dunners life. So this is my attempt to help repay her and hopefully have enough to help Wilson Zoo with their vet bills too!
