Hi, My name is Joseph Mayer, recently I've obtained my masters degree in financial crime, started a new career position, worked a second job as a licensed personal caretaker for homebound individuals, and worked on several non-profit board of trustees promoting and guiding the organizations, and was moving toward going to NYUs cybersecurity bridge program protecting the financial assests of others.... Living the dream. In February of 2023 I was diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4- prostate cancer. I had one week from discovery until I had to get my things in order, go on disability and enter a full-time cancer fighting program, I am homebound and in need of homecare as my treatment intensifies. I am being treated with radiation, Chemotherapy, and infusion and have had over 100 major side effects to battle and control and have had to obtain the services of a dozen medical specialists just to survive. Once I beat the cancer I will need, ball joint surgery to replace the bone marrow my cancer fed on, I've lost four teeth from the chemo and will require major dental work. This is having a financial toll and I have limited resources to be able to properly fight the cancer.
