Grass is Greener at Broadheath
Donation protected
The children of Broadheath School have had to suffer two long years without the luxury of an open field of grass. We are writing to ask if you will help us to raise money to buy turf so we can spend hours of fun with grass under our shoes and the sun shining down on us! The children of Eagle class love their new classroom as much as the children adore the new playground, but it is just not enough.
We would love you to sponsor a metre or as many metres as you are able to so that we can improve our playground and put a huge smile on every pupil! A metre of turf costs approximately £3.00 (plus costs for laying it) and we are aiming to raise enough money to fund around 550 square metres.
The children would be able to do so much more, such as playing tag, doing hand stands without hurting themselves and playing football more. Scientists have suggested that spending time outdoors is good for physical and mental health and even that the very act of donating money can help us feel good!
Our target to complete this project is £2000, any surplus money will be used to further enhance the school playground and environmental areas in partnership with PTA.
Hopefully this letter has convinced you to make the right decision and donate to the school.
Yours Sincerely (and almost turfless)
Charlie, Xanthe, Sophia and Rebecca
