Granting Lasting Memories and One Last Wish for Terrell

Donation protected
Terrell Clark, a dear friend, brother in Christ, and someone who most look up to for sponsorship, brotherhood, and a mentor, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that has stopped responding to chemotherapy treatments. His wife Peggy and I have been talking about how her last wish is to spend as much time as possible with Terrell in the coming weeks, and she would love to see him be able to take his dream trip to see the Grand Canyon.

While this amount of funds may seem extreme, it is going to take some unordinary measures to make sure that Terrell is able to experience the Grand Canyon like he should. Due to his cancer, Terrell isn’t able to walk and would need to have a scooter accessible to him at all times. He would need special accommodations for certain things, and Peggy wants to make sure they stay somewhere where Terrell can seek medical treatment if necessary.

Terrell has a wish to be able to take a helicopter over the canyon and see it at a birds-eye view, see the magnificent rock formations, and see what beauty God has done on His precious creation of Earth.

Terrell has spent his time on Earth ministering to people, sharing the Gospel, and living his life to tell the story of what God has done for him. He’s a sinner who was saved by the grace of God and vowed to share that until his last breath. If you know Terrell, you know he’s doing just that.

My husband and I met Terrell and Peggy about six years ago when Justin started pastoring at Highpoint. It was all formed from giving one church a van that another church didn’t need at the time. That meeting turned into an incredible relationship that made Peggy and Terrell like family. Terrell became one of Justin’s mentors and someone that he looks to often for wisdom, growth, and gets filled with the Spirit by listening to his testimony of the Lord’s word. We are deeply saddened by this disease, but we are joyed to know that Terrell is praising the Almighty King of Kings and still looking to the Lord and thanking Him for ALL His blessings through this storm.

If you do not have the means to give, we completely understand and just ask that you please share this for them and continue to keep Terrell and Peggy in your prayers over the next few weeks as they navigate the waters.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” - Jeremiah 29:11-12
