Thank you for being here.
Knowing Grant, is knowing what a genuine and positive person he is AND what an amazing father, husband, friend, and firefighter he is. This is his story...
On February 12th, Grant had an MRI in relation to a concussion he sustained due to a fall at work a few months earlier. The MRI showed that he had a large, un-ruptured brain aneurysm in his middle cerebral artery. After meeting with a number of doctors, they have all agreed that it must be treated via open surgery (craniotomy).
On April 21st, Grant will have brain surgery at UCSF to “clip” the aneurysm. If everything goes as planned, Grant will be in the hospital for 4-5 days following the procedure. Then, he will be able to return home where he will require a lot of rest and care for several weeks (months).
During the weeks (months) ahead, Grant and his family need our prayers, AND, he and Nicole also need help with some of the completely unforeseen and sudden expenses. This GoFundMe makes that help possible. Please do what you can. It all matters.
THESE FUNDS WILL HELP WITH:
-missed weeks/months of work for both Grant and Nicole
-funding the daily Jessie & Laurent (www.jessieetlaurent.com) and Blooming Spoon (www.bloomingspoon.com) meals that Grant will need to ensure his strict diet before and after the surgery
-additional child care needed for the kids
-and other health-related costs not covered by insurance.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting Grant, Nicole, Gavin and Emi during this difficult time.
