Grant Michael Vaughan, 28, passed away March 21, 2022 in Sacramento, California, following a complication from heart surgery. He is survived by his wife Kelsey Vaughan, their unborn child due this September.

All of the proceeds will go to support Kelsey and Baby Vaughan.

Grant was born May 7, 1993, in Monterey, California. He grew up in King City, graduating from King City High School in 2011. In his youth, he loved to read, play video games, and collect Pokémon cards. He loved animals and as a teen he was part of the Soledad Mission 4-H, raising a pig for the fair each year. Grant attended UC Davis and graduated with a degree in Animal Science. While at UC Davis he was part of the Marching Band, where he met the love of his life, Kelsey. He loved being part of the Band-uh! community and was a friend to all. Grant had a lifelong love of music and could play anything he set his mind to. In band-uh, he played Trombone, served as section leader, stepped up to be student director his senior year, and acted as the alumni band director for several years. After college, he spent a few years working in a laboratory, and recently became a Regulatory Consultant. In his free time, Grant continued his love for playing video games, discovered his joy for dungeons and dragons, and always prioritized spending time with his loved ones.

Grant and Kelsey began dating in January 2014, and spent the last few years living in Sacramento with their two cats, Neo and Lyl. They married in June 2019 and looked forward to becoming parents this September. Grant was so incredibly excited about fatherhood and would have been a wonderful dad. He is greatly loved by so many and will be very missed.
