On Sunday, February 19th, we got the call that everyone dreads, while simultaneously believing, and hoping, that it will never happen to them. Grant Hadler - a father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and beloved member of the community - had been found unresponsive. Grant remained in ICU until Sunday, February 26th, when our family made the difficult, but necessary, decision to let him go after several scans showed that he had suffered severe brain damage and would never wake up. A senseless act of violence brought us here, leaving three sons without their father, a wife without her husband, and our entire family’s lives changed forever. With this devastation comes financial hardship - medical bills, after-life care costs, and a two-income household becoming one. I am asking for help so that my mother-in-law, husband, and brother-in-law do not have to deal with financial insecurity on top of the deep, inexplicable grief that they are experiencing. I am asking for help because they never would. All donations will go toward medical expenses, after-life care arrangements, attorney and legal fees, as well as any other costs that result from this horrific tragedy.
