Hi everyone … I have started this fundraiser to try and recoup for lost items and help towards Grant being able to purchase and modify another boat for his wheelchair as he did with this one …. He lost not only his boat but all his boating items and personal items in a boat fire recently at Rottnest just so grateful he and his beautiful wife escaped the burning boat just in time literally minutes as within 10 minutes it was burnt down to the waterline …everything on the boat and the boat itself was lost to the flames nothing recovered from salvage …
A bit of back story Grant had restored and modified this boat to accommodate being in a wheelchair he and friends spent up to 2 years perfecting the mechanical side of things to allow a lift type mechanism to lift him up to the flybridge to get full enjoyment of owning his own boat … This was his maiden voyage and his pride and joy… this boat held sentimental value to Grant as this has been in his life since he was a baby … after deciding to fix her up to be sea worthy and modified he spent mass $ and time to be able to navigate this boat from the flybridge …
I personally know Grant and have never met someone as determined and persistent even with a disability he soldiers on nothing is impossible … when he gets an idea he runs with it and persists and pushes on until the jobs done …
Being wheel chair bound he knows no limits and is an inspiration to many including the car scene nothing stands in his way least of all his wheelchair …
Please help Grant get back out there on the ocean ….
