Hi. My name is Raquel and I am fundraising for my Grandpa Peter. Peter was literally the GREATEST grandpa and to most of us he was like a Father. He was the perfect example of a gentle spirit. He loved to laugh, watch football, and spend time with family.

He was a great man of God and the heart of the family. He battled multiple lifelong health issues and that never stopped him from ALWAYS being there and making time for his family. He was always intentional about spending time with his children and grand children. Showing interest in every activity they took part in. We are so grateful for the 73 years of life God blessed him with.

Last month, Grandpa Peter became very sick and had to be admitted into the hospital. He was diagnosed with a rare case of Covid Pneumonia. From that point on his health slowly deteriorated. Though he overcame Covid and the infection the damage done to his body and organs was irreversible.
He was on life support for his 73rd birthday, Christmas, and New Years. We weren’t able to hug him, give him his gifts, or celebrate with him in-person. It was a tough month for the whole family, but we continued to lean on Jesus and trust that no matter the outcome Grandpa Peter would receive the healing we were praying for.
On Monday, January 3rd we were notified by the hospital that he would not survive the day. A handful of family members were able to say goodbye in-person; while many of us zoomed in our heartfelt and tearful goodbyes. He went home to the Lord just before 9:30pm that evening.

Grandpa Peter leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Mary, and his two daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Though he is not with us physically, we find comfort in knowing that he is with Jesus and we will see him again.

We are asking that you prayerfully consider making a generous donation to help cover Grandpa Peter’s funeral expenses. A donation of any amount is appreciated. Would you also consider committing to pray for our family during this time? We not only appreciate your prayers, but know that God will hear your prayers and use them to comfort and encourage us.
One way that you can lend a hand is by sharing our Go Fund Me page with friends and family. Please be sure to click share.
Thank you so much for your support whether it be a financial donation or in prayer; you are appreciated and it is needed. God Bless You.
