A final farewell for our beloved Grandma Emma

Our beloved grandma is in her final moments with us. All of her organs have shut down, and we are spending this precious time by her side, cherishing every second we have left with her.

Hi everyone,

On May 16th, our world changed when we had to rush our beloved grandma to the hospital. We found out her kidneys had stopped functioning, her hemoglobin levels were dangerously low, and doctors had to insert a pacemaker in her heart. Since then, she has been undergoing dialysis at the hospital and will need to continue these treatments every other day for the foreseeable future.

Because we are unable to get assistance here in the U.S., we will need to continue her dialysis in Juárez. Each treatment costs about $105, which quickly adds up. With sessions needed every other day, the financial burden is overwhelming.

Our mother, who is her only daughter, has stopped working to be by her side and care for her full-time. This makes it extremely difficult for our family to keep up with the ongoing costs of treatment, transportation, and basic needs.
