Hi my name is Patricia Canales, blessed to call myself one of the granddaughters of Mama Vicky.
On Friday, February 17, 2023 tragedy struck and our grandmother’s home caught fire. By the grace of God, she was uninjured, however her home could not be saved. Very little was salvaged in the fire and what was salvaged has a lot of smoke damage. Because it was a trailer home and the fire started underneath, firefighters had to make holes throughout the house and it is now labeled unsafe to live in and her home of 40 years
will have to be demolished.
At the age of 85, Mama Vicky will need to rebuild from the beginning as she did not have home insurance. As devastated as she is, she continues to stand STRONG in her faith.
