Grandma & Grandpa Unknown Expenses

Hi everyone. Thank you again for coming together as a community to find justice for my family. Due to the nature and the ongoing investigations we are going to keep our names anonymous, we will just refer to them as grandma and grandpa. For those who don’t know the story. My grandma and grandpa left early Sunday morning to head to the Keys trailering their boat for a family vacation. When they came up to the intersection of Milwaukee and Homestead in Lehigh Acres, they were blocked and surrounded by 100s of people and cars acting erratic. My grandfather stuck his head out of the window and asked if he could get by. They were doing donuts, then proceeded to hop on my grandparents boat, banging on their windows with guns. As my grandpa saw the guns he went to turn around, a armed man came up to the driver side window and shot my grandpa in the neck which also hit my grandma in the chest and arm. My grandpa proceeded to drive his truck back to the house and was able to get him and grandma gathered into their other car. They then went straight to Lehigh hospital and were addressed as much as they could. They then were transported to trauma ICU at Gulf Coast Medical Center. Currently Grandma was released and is recovering with family at home. Grandpa who was shot in the neck is still in the ICU currently and is waiting now for a heart catheterization. We started this go fund me without his knowledge because my grandpa HATES hand outs, with that being said they are 74 and 70 and living on fixed incomes, and we are not oblivious as a family to the fact of unexpected costs that are coming our way. My grandpa is a fighter and will get through this, we could use all the prayers and any small donation will go along way to my grandpa and grandma getting healthy and active again. We once again thank the community and we full heartedly stand by our local law enforcement and truly believe these individuals will be caught sooner than later.
