I have reached the end of my financial and emotional rope. I need help. I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in my left breast and had a second mastectomy last September. Since then, I have been plagued with multiple wound infections requiring repeat hospitalizations and specialized wound care services. I have not been able to work to maintain my financial responsibilities.
I am raising my two grandchildren for several years since my daughter passed away. I am 77 years old, and Anthony and Natalia are now in nearby colleges. They come home quite often. I need the income from my job to maintain all of my expenses. I have been juggling not enough money across many expenses for so long, and now I am reaching out for help.
I have been a registered nurse for over 50 years and a nurse practitioner for 30 years. I have been a healthy, productive, socially committed medical professional. My hope and expectations are that I will be able to return to work. It is not only a pleasure to serve but a necessity for my and my family's well-being.
