Hello my name is Darice and I am raising funds for the Grande Prairie Farmers Market. As so many of you know our market had an extremely serious fire Friday November 21st. Our building suffered significant smoke damage and structural damage. It will be a long process getting back to our home downtown.

That means for the time being we have 50 small businesses that will be moving to our temporary home at Evergreen Park. In the interim there are so many costs that are associated with what is going on. As a non profit ourselves this is a very scary time. We are trying our best to offset the costs associated with moving out of our building for our vendors. We have had so many community members that have so kindly asked for us to start a go fund me to help us through this very tragic time.

Our main goal is of course to get home back to the building we have loved for so many years but for the time being we do not know what that time frame looks like. But have been told it will be a long road. We do know that we have felt the love of Grande Prairie and area for the past two days. In the wake of this tragedy we are seeing just how much Grande Prairie loved our market and how important our vendors were to this community.
