Granada Run - Funds for Underserved Kids to Attend Grit Camp

Donation protected
Grit Camp is back for a 6th summer of helping young people build mental, physical, and emotional resilience. Since our inception in 2020, Grit Camp has hosted nearly 1800 kids to help prepare them for their future in the classroom, on the court, and within our community. In 2021, Grit Camp started a financial assistance program to ensure that all young people have a safe and enriching environment during the summer months. After sponsoring over 100 weeks of camp in summer 2023 alone, we want to continue the opportunity for underserved kids to attend Grit Camp in 2025. Currently, we have made agreements with several local organizations and schools (including Sanctuary on 8th St and local public schools) and already have over 20+ local kids looking for someone to sponsor them to come to Grit Camp this summer.

Our fundraiser this year is the Granada Run (check out GranadaRun.com for more details). A one mile run in Granada Park in San Marco on Thursday, June 12 from 6-9 pm. We will have 4 age groups run in heats based on the number of sign ups including the following divisions:

Elementary School (5th grade and younger)
Middle School (6th-8th grade)
High School (9-12th grade)
Mommy Mile (adult female)
Dad Dash (adult male)

We will have music, a food truck, and prizes for the top in each division. To register for the event, please send $50 per registration with your name and how many runners you are entering. Then just text us the names of the runners and the division they are running in, and you are all set!
