Heat for the House

My name is Quigley. My wife Elaine and I have been married for 45+ years. In that space of time we have raised five children who have given us fourteen grandchildren. We formerly were co-owners of a courier business that we were forced to close in late May of this year due to financial issues. Both my wife and me are turning sixty five in January 2017 and are semi retired, living on Social Security. I say semi because I am working to expand a music production company named "4th teepee on the right music". thus far it has had limited success but with potential for the future.
and Elaine...she's a fulltime Grandma and that is a full time job!
Living with us in our home we have our youngest daughter and her husband and three kids and two additional grandkids that my wife and I are fostering at present due to some complications with their parents. So, that makes 5 kids all under the age of 8 and 4 adults. Both my daughter and her husband have jobs but they are just squeezing by with their own expenses. In short....we are coming up short every month. By the grace of God we have been able to keep up with the health insurance premium and a roof over our heads. However...the reason for this appeal is this!
Yesterday after coming up with the money to put oil in our tank we learned from the service tech that our furnace is broken and needs to be replaced. this could not have come at a more in-opportune time as we are expecting high winds, ice and snow and sub-zero temperatures for the next few days. Please pray that our power stays on as we are using a couple of small space heaters to heat the house.
This is something that has always been very hard for me to do...to ask for money. I'm always thinking that there are people out there who are in more need than I. Maybe that comes from the things I observed on two separate mission trips to India. Those who know me know that I would give away the farm. When I sought the Lord on what to do about this situation, I had a peace in my heart about reaching out.
I ask that you would consider helping us out with this dire need. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.
May God bless you all.
Thank you so very very much!
