We Love Grammy Phyllis!

This story is about my dear friend and office manager, Phyllis Megee. I have known Phyllis since I was in college in the early 1970's. She is the mother of 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy, and a grandmother of a bunch of little kids. Last Wednesday, Phyllis lost her husband Ralph to congestive heart failure. They had been married for more than 50 years. That, however, is only the beginning of the story. Back in 1975, Ralph, who was an accomplished carpenter, offered to trim a tree for a neighbor. Not more than 6 or 7 feet off the ground, the ladder gave way, and Ralph fell to the ground causing him to lose the use of both legs for the rest of his life. Bound to a wheelchair for the last 41 years, both Ralph and Phyllis continued to live life to the fullest. Ralph continued to work as best he could, wheeling himself around on a four wheel dolly, and Phyllis came to work for Cardio-Kinetics, Inc. That was more than 30 years ago.
For the past 41 years, this woman raised 4 children, worked full time, and took care of a paraplegic. She single handedly healed his ongoing wounds, developed her own concoctions that healed his wounds more quickly. Even the doctors and nurses were amazed at her creativity in caring for her husband. But beyond all of this, Phyllis demonstrated the text book definition of a servant. She is ALWAYS smiling and her attitude is amazing. For a woman that has been a caregiver since the age of 28, I have never seen her angry or even frustrated. She is, to the people that know her best, the most loving and selfless person on earth.
Phyllis needs our help. She has a home that needs lots of repairs before it could possibly go on the market to be sold. There are medical bills still unpaid, and unfortunately, Ralph was not insurable. While, we here at CK will make certain that Phyllis will make it through, donations through gofundme would be a huge help to her current needs. There is no one that deserves our help more than Phyllis Megee. Please consider donating to this wonderful woman.
P.S. She will not be happy that we have started this fund for her, but we are going to do it anyway. I can always apologize after the fact!!!
